Nancy Ann was the daughter of John Bennett and his first wife. She is referred to in deeds and court records as Ann Ford.

She married Samuel Ford in Maryland about 1793. He died in Jan 1811. After his death, she took her family to Ohio County, KY.

A Maryland land record confirms the names of her children who survived their father.

By deed dated 12 Nov 1811 and recorded 17 Dec 1811 Ann Shaw, John and Margery Reed, and Mary Boyd sold to the heirs of Samuel Ford part of a tract of land called Wilsons Discovery and part of a tract of land called Mackeys Chance both lying in Montgomery County, MD (about 80 acres).
Heirs of Samuel Ford listed in this deed were Ann Ford, Sabrina Ford, Elizabeth Ford, Harriet Ford, Mahala Ford, Cassandra Ford, John B. Ford and Samuel J. Ford.

A second deed by which heirs of Samuel Ford sold a parcel of land in Maryland, gives the spouses of the children.

By deed dated 7 Oct 1833 and recorded 4 March 1834 the heirs of Samuel Ford being Thomas Baird and Elizabeth his wife, Leonard Hoover and Nancy his wife, Nathan Lynn and Harriet his wife, Jesse Ward husband of Mahala Ford, Basil Ward and Cassandra his wife, John B.
