Obituary:
Minnie Mae Skaggs of Mineral Point, Missouri, departed this life Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at her residence, having reached the age of 64 years and 24 days. She was born June 18, 1941 at Bonne Terre, Missouri, the daughter of the late Stonewell Jackson and Daisy (Kane) Nash.
Minnie Mae was united in marriage to William David Skaggs July 4, 1962 and he preceded her in death on December 21, 2004.
In addition to her husband and parents, Minnie Mae was preceded in death by a sister, Alvada Ketcherside and a brother, Tommy Nash.
Those who survive to mourn her passing are a son, Dennis Nash and his wife Virginia of Mineral Point; a daughter, Daisy Payne and husband Jahn of Bourbon; a son-in-law, Dwight Eckhoff of Potosi; two brothers, Jack Nash and wife Ann and Eddie Ray Nash of California; two sisters, Mary Marion of California and Marie Davis of Colorado; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2005 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Johnny Emily and Rev. Johnny Wren officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Dwight Eckhoff, Terry Purcell, Marty Drennen, John Kane, Wayne Bourbon and Bill Kane. Interment was in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi.
All arrangements were entrusted to the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
