SPENCE, Gordon Edmund – On Wednesday November 21, 1984, at the St.Catharines General Hospital, Gordon Edmund Spence, formerly of 14 Collier St., in his 84th year, husband of the late Gertrude Spence (1983), dear father of Lyall Raymond Spence, Rochester, N.Y., brother of Mrs. Florence Boddy of Toronto, also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Born in Haileybury, Mr. Spence was a resident of Timmins, then came to St.Catharines in 1940. He was a former employee of Blenkhorne & Sawle, a veteran of W.W 1 in the Signal Corp, 228th Battalion and was a member of St.Catharines Cathedral. Mr. Spence is at the PATRICK J. DARTEFUNERAL HOME, 39 Court St., at King until Friday, November 23 at 10:30 am. Mass of Ressurection will be offered in St.Catharines Cathedral at 11 am. Internment Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Prayers in the funeral home Thursday at 3 pm. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4and 7-9 pm.
