BERTHA EDITH ROSE Bertha Edith Rose, 94, of Discovery Bay, CA, passed away, Sunday, July 28, 2013. She was born to Harvey & Nancy Brown, Sept. 28, 1918, in Hawkins, MO. Bertha was married to Oliver Rose for 66 years. They lived in Vista, CA, before moving to Oroville in 1979. Bertha belonged to TOPS & was a KOPS for 30+yrs. She attended Church of the Nazarene; was a member of Rebekah Lodge & Pocahontas; an avid bowler until age 93. She loved being with her grandchildren, participating in parades & riding horses. Bertha is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Strunk, son -in -law Craig Strunk & 5 grandchildren, Kimberly, Matthew, Emily, Hannah, and Hailey. Service held at Scheer Memorial Chapel, Friday, August 2, at 10:30 a.m. Viewing at 9:30 a.m.
