Virginia was born on March 12, 1930 in Lorain and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Virginia married Olan E. Reese on November 25, 1954. In addition to Olan, she is survived by her children Olan R. (Veronica) Reese of Westlake, Mary Beth (Ken) Kelleher of Amherst, Christopher (Christine) Reese M.D. of Broadview Heights, and Meredith (Richard) Muccio of Bay Village, seven grandchildren, sister Clara Poltrone of Lorain, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Simone and Bambina (nee Ventresca) DelSignore, brother Patsy DelSignore, and sisters Mary Curtis, and Anne Abrahamowicz.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 1st from 4-8 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Friday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Father Craig Hovanec will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; Hospice of Western Reserve, 29101 Health Campus Dr., Suite 400, Westlake, OH 44145; or the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, OH 44053.
