Funeral service for Lola Stewart of Warroad will be held on Friday, August 2nd at 2 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Warroad. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Thursday at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad. Interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery.

Lola Anna Stewart of Warroad, passed away on July 26, 2013 at the age of 92.

Lola was born on July 7, 1921 in Rochester to Luther and Hattie Slawson. She grew up south of Warroad and attended a country School and later graduated from Warroad High School. She worked at various places before marrying Carl Stewart in 1942. Lola stayed at home to raise her children. She was an outstanding cook, and baked and decorated cakes for many people. She enjoyed gardening, embroidering, ice fishing, and deer hunted into her late 80's. She will be remembered as a hard-worker and a special woman who always had a love for family & friends. She cared for all of her family and loved her grandchildren very much. She will be missed beyond words.

She is survived by her children, Lydia Johnson of Warroad and Arlyn (Bobbie) Stewart of Roosevelt; 1 brother Lyle Slawson of Park Rapids, MN 2 step-sisters Dorothy Stoskopf & Mabel Tilton; 6 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; daughter, Karla Marie; sons, Clyde and Milo; granddaughter Charity Lanning, and siblings, Donald, Harold, Art, Byrle and Rosie; and several step-siblings.
