Missy was born April 21, 1969 at the Valley Forge military hospital in Phoenixville, PA, the youngest of twin daughters of Major Edward V. and Delores Chandler. Growing up as an "Army Brat" she traveled from post to post with her family throughout the United States, graduating from North Springs High School in Atlanta, GA in 1987. Missy then attended and graduated from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations in 1991.
Missy loved working in her gardens, music and traveling, hiking in the mountains with her twin sister, going to the lake with her dogs. She was actively involved in wildlife rescue and caring for orphaned wildlife.
She is survived by her father and mother, Col. (Ret.) Edward V. and Delores Chandler, Melbourne, FL and Ellijay, GA; her elder sister Victoria Chandler, Ellijay, GA; her twin sister Madeline Ann Chandler, Chattanooga, TN; her grandmother, Cleo Bryan, Grayson, GA.
Her ashes were distributed among loved ones, some were scattered at the Holy Apostles Episcopal Church in Satellite Beach, FL and others were kept.
