Mildred was the only child born to Harry Sylvester (second marriage) and Laura Jane (Poff) Gasaway. She married Earl Wesley Gibson in 1922 and they had two children: Alberta Earline and Edward Eugene.

Mrs. Gibson Dies After Brief Illness

Mrs. Earl W. (Mae Mildred) Gibson, 60, 2908 2nd Ave. S., died Monday night at a local hospital, where she had been a patient two weeks. Funeral services will be announced by Croxford’s Mortuary.
She was born Dec. 19, 1900, at Trail Creek, Mont. She was reared at Bozeman and lived there until coming to Great Falls, where she has lived since, in 1925.
She was married to Earl W. Gibson, May 10, 1922, at Helena. Survivors, in addition to the widower, are one son, Edward Eugene, Great Falls; one daughter, Mrs. Earlene Thaers, Butte; one half-sister, Mrs. Frank Trunk Sr., Bozeman; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services Held For Mrs. Gibson

Funeral services for Mrs. Earl W. (Mildred Mae) Gibson, 60, 2908 2nd Ave. S., were held Thursday at Croxford’s Mortuary and at Holy Family Church, where Requiem Mass was offered. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harry Conrad, Noel Burlingame, Atlie S. Barnett, James L. Murray, Ira Olmstead and Ernest Austin.
Mrs. Gibson, who died Monday, was born at Trail Creek and lived at Bozeman before coming to Great Falls in 1925. Survivors include the widower, a son, Edward Eugene, Great Falls, and a daughter, Mrs. Earlene Thares, Butte.
