Albert Allen Rites Tuesday
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Wickenburg Funeral Home for Albert Ben Allen who died at his home on North Jefferson Street the morning of October 8.
The services were conducted by the Rev. John King of Bagdad and the American Legion officiated at the burial in Wickenburg Cemetery.
Mr. Allen was a native Arizonan, having been born May 27, 1908 in Willcox. He engaged in mining most of his life. He moved to Wickenburg in 1952. In recent months he had been employed as Blasting Foreman at the Phan-Ran Air Base in Viet Nam, said to be the largest air base in Asia. He returned to this country September 24.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife Ruby; three brothers, William of Wickenburg, Iley of Tucson and Edward of Trail, Ore., and four sisters, Bertha Boyd and Lena McMeans of Willcox and Jessie Masters and Della Snead, of Venice, Calif.
