Obituary for Lou Anna Thomas
Lou Anna Perry Thomas (Momma Lou) went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the age of 95 at the home of her son, Tim Thomas, with her family by her side.

She was born on February 17, 1919 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. She was formerly employed by the Cotton Mill. After marrying her husband of 58 years, James W. Thomas, and becoming a mother, she was a devoted stay at home mother and wife.

She had six children. She was preceded in death by her husband , James W. Thomas, Sister-in-law and best friend, Mae Perry; two sisters, Flo Ella and Ruthie Perry; five brothers Curt, Roy, Paul, Lester, and Charlie Perry; two daughters, Delores (Fuzz) Ragle and Rita Herron; one son, James (Alvin) Thomas; and one daughter-in-law, Barbara Thomas.

She is survived by sons, Ezra (Jim) and wife Patsy (Gearldine) and Preston (Tim) Thomas; and daughter, Sandra Young and husband Scott. She leaves behind 11 grand children, 19 great grandchildren, and two great-great grand children.

The memories she leaves behind with her children and grandchildren are numerous and will be treasured forever. Before she was unable to do so, she loved going to Dollywood and Carowinds to ride roller coasters, and she loved riding go-carts in Pigeon Forge. She attended Apostolic Gospel Church. She started her journey with the Lord at an early age by being baptized in Reedy Creek many years ago. She received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost at the age of 85.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2015 in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM with Pastor Greg Street, officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00AM on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Our family has been so blessed because we were able to care for Momma Lou at home. It would not have been possible without Tim Thomas, Tyler and Taylor Collins, Preston Thomas and Christal Collins (Sissy). Christal devoted many hours driving home from Knoxville every weekend to provide care for Momma Lou.
