The community was saddened by the death of a long time resident, Herman Ehrlichmann, who passed away December 15 at Redding Nursing Home at St. Cloud.
He was born March 2, 1892 in Krain Township, Minnesota. His parents Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Ehrlichmann, two brothers, Albert and Ben, and one sister, Mata, preceded him in death.
Other sisters are Mrs. August (Emma) Klimmek, Upsala; Mrs. Pete (Natalia) Rauch, Waite Park; Mrs. Albert (Selma) Solinger, Albany; and Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Hawla, Barnesville.
Herman Ehrlichmann married Rose Vos Nov. 3, 1915 in Holdingford. They lived at Melrose for nearly one and a half years, then came to Holdingford, where they farmed until June, 1950, and then retired to a small home in this Village.
Leaving to mourn his death is his wife, Rose, and the following children: Mrs.Merritt (Louella) Cochran, Columbus, Ga.; Robert F. and Mrs. James (Iyone) Horvarth of Holdingford nad Mrs. Andrew (Helene) Horvarth Jr. of Minneapolis. There are also six grand children.
Serving as pallbearers were: John Foder, Norbert Feld, Walter Meyer, Leo Klasen, Ambrose Ebnet and Joseph Kremer.
Funeral services were conducted at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Monday, with Rev. Greiner and Rev. Bernard Karels officiating. Burial was in the Parish Cemetery.
The Brenny Funeral Directors had charge of arrangements.
