Raymond Arthur Domingus, 53, of North Platte died Dec. 27, 2004, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.He was born April 15, 1951, to Raymond F. and Dora L. Soto Domingus at North Platte. He was raised and attended school in North Platte, graduating from North Platte High School in 1969.
He married Cheryl Mentzer of North Platte, and to this union were born two children in addition to Cheryl''s daughter. In 1977 he hired out on the Union Pacific Railroad. At the time of his death he worked as an engineer. In 1997 he married Jolene L. "Jodi" Stoddard and they had one son.In his younger years Raymond liked sports and enjoyed coaching young children, especially baseball and basketball. He was an awesome pool player, who participated in many tournaments, receiving many awards and trophies. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends for all the memories they shared. Survivors include his wife Jodi of North Platte; daughter Jessica Domingus of Cheyenne; son Alexander Domingus of North Platte; stepdaughters Angila (Julian) Haro of North Platte and Kayla Gragg also of North Platte; stepsons Josh and Kyle Gragg of North Platte; mother Dora Barrios and sister Joyce (Ron) Kelley all of North Platte; brothers Alex Domingus of Lincoln and Sam Domingus of North Platte; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, stepfather Emilio "Tex" Barrios, sister Gloria Arriola, brother Joseph Domingus, son Nathan Domingus, and a granddaughter.
Services will be Dec. 31 at the North Platte Berean Church. Burial will be at North Platte Cemetery.
