Judith A. Hammond

Age 58, died peacefully surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with liver disease on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville FL.

"She lived, and fought like a true champion".

Judy was a graduate of Mt Pleasant High School and The University of Delaware. She was involved in local theater for many years, and was a big time advocate for animals in need. Judy loved working with dogs, and volunteered at the Delaware Humane Society and Faithful Friends No Kill Animal Shelter.

She was the daughter of the late John F. and Pauline Hammond. She is survived by her husband, Jan E.; brother, John E. and his wife Sharon; her niece, Molly and nephew Jae.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service at the Gild Hall in Arden, DE 19810 on Saturday July 10, at 2 pm.
