The funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Pleasant Mortuary in Harlan, Ky., with the Rev. Brenda Davis officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, Ky.
A native of Woodbine, Ky., Mrs. Carter was a daughter of the late Roscoe Lee Davis and Rosa Lee Farmer Davis. She worked for Woody's Market in Harlan and was a member of the Church of God in Harlan. She was the widow of Hobert Edward Carter.
Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Susan Rhodes of York and Joyce Elaine Carter of Toledo, Ohio; her brother, Jack W. Davis of Indianapolis; three sisters, Anna Lee Martin of Harlan, Wilma Bennett of Coshochton, Ohio, and Sylvia Greene of Scottsburg, Ind.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Mount Pleasant Mortuary in Harlan.
