Ashland - Helen L. Savage, 87, of Ashland died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998, at Walker Nursing Home, Virginia.
She was born April 26, 1911, in Winchester, the daughter of John and Fern Drew Ryan. She married Edward Sinclair Savage in 1929 in Stonington; he died in 1988. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Anne Concklin.
Mrs. Savage was a 1928 graduate of Ashland High School and was a former member of the Ashland Woman's Club. She attended Ashland Church of Christ.
Survivors: a son, Robert (Judy) Savage of Ashland; five grandsons; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Ryan of Spokane, Wash.; two sisters, Alice Dodge of Spokane, Wash., and Mary Jane Gardner of Lake Port, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
