Roberta Jean Hopkins, of Osggod passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Crossing in Milan. She was born October 31, 1931 in Dearborn County, the daughter of Henry Holland and Ada Mae McDonley Ake. She married William Hopkins on December 2, 1950 and he preceded her in death on January 24, 2007.
Survivors include daughters, Virginia Peasley of Conneticut, Deborah Patton of Moores Hill, Judy Schebler of Osgood; brother, Wilbur Ake of Lawrensburg; 14 Granchildren; 20 Great Granchildren;and two g-g- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Petro and Three brothers, Elmer, Ralph, and Irvin Ake.
Mrs. Hopkins was a nurses aid for approximately 20 years at Milan Health and Hopitality Center. Funeral Services will be all in one day, on Friday, April 9, at Neals Funeral Home in Osgood. Visitation from 10 A.M. to 12 noon, with funeral services immediately following. Burial will be in Cravens Cemetery in Milan. Memorials may be given to Rescue 69 or Rescue 30 in care of the funeral home.
