He was born and raised in Pendergrass, Ga., and retired from Jackson EMC. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hall County.
J.A. was the son of the late Paul and Sarah Underwood, and was also preceded in death by his nine siblings.
A graveside service for J.A. will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Hall County.
Rev. Brian Malcolm will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home in Gainesville, Ga. from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2015.
