George Robert Pruitt, 82, a resident of Roseburg, Oregon, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013 in Roseburg.

George was born on April 10, 1931 in Picher, Oklahoma, the son of Christopher C. and Ella Mae Pruitt.

George served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In 1956 he married Alice Giles, daughter of Ernest and Bertha Giles.

George is survived by: his wife, Alice Giles; his five children: Tony, Tami, Brenda, Penny and Debbie; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A viewing for family members and friends will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Demaray Funeral Service – Shoshone Chapel at 404 West B Street in Shoshone. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 10:00 am at Demaray's Shoshone Chapel.

Burial with military honors will follow at the Richfield Cemetery in Richfield.

Memorial contributions may be made in George's name to Wounded Warrior's.
