Nickname "Dutch" maybe because of a Deutschland (German) heritage. Personally I feel he is of the German HOUSE family that settle in NC. Been unable to totally prove this yet. Families tended to name their children after relatives. His father would have been ELIAS House. Many of his children would have appropriately been named after their aunts or uncles. But since Elias had no will, I have not been able to prove without any doubt that connection is valid. Love for anyone else to help make that connection.

I feel that Elias tree on Ancestor.com is somewhat invalid, having the wrong child attached where William Elias SHOULD have been. More evidence proves William to be the child.
