Margie Ruth Horne Craven, of North Charleston, SC, widow of David Larue Craven, entered into eternal rest July 26, 2013.

Margie was born June 17, 1936 in Tallahassee, Florida, daughter of Johann Herman Steiger and Esther Snodgrass Steiger.

She was employed by Divine Redeemer Catholic School and served as the Director of Extended School Programs.

Margie is survived by her two daughters; Deborah C. Tuten, and Melissa R. Craven both of Hanahan SC; two sons, David LaRue Craven II of North Charleston and Stephen K. Craven and wife Janice of Goose Creek, SC; sister, Kaye Steiger Murrow of North Charleston; two granddaughter's Heather McKenzie Sebring and Camela Denise Craven both of Hanahan; three great-granddaughters. In addition there are many family members in Florida.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held, July 29, 2013 in Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, at 10:00 am. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will be in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel the 28th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, where a Rosary Service will be conducted at 8PM.
