Naomi Rosett Barton, 85, Granby, died at 11:03 a.m. August 12, 1993, at a Carthage nursing home after a long Illness.

Mrs. Barton was born Sept. 17, 1907, in Granby and was a lifelong resident of Granby. She was a 1925 graduate of Granby High School and attended Springfield Business College. She had owned and operated Nichols Grocery Store in Granby, retiring in 1990. She attended Granby Full Gospel Tabernacle and was a Republican Party Committee woman for many years.

She married Hobart Brown on Feb. 21, 1928 in Granby. He died Aug. 13, 1935. She married Fletcher Barton on April 11, 1937. He died Sept, 18, 1971.

Survivors include a sister, Gladys Nichols, Granby.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Clark Funeral Home, kGranby, with Rev. Ralph Walker, James DuVall and Danny Robinson officiating.

Burial will be in Granby Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike, Kelly, John Kelly, Jim Kelly, George Kelly, Pat Kelly and Bob Johnson.

the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
