Lieutenant (LT), United States Navy, World War Two. Graduate of the United States Naval Academy (USNA) Class of 1940. While serving as a Naval Aviator stationed at Naval Air Station (NAS) Lake City, FL he perished in the crash of a Lockheed PV-1 Ventura patrol bomber while on a training flight of the Florida Keys - his remains were not recovered.
