Mike Houston Wilson, age 59, of the Meadow Branch Community in Robbinsville, NC, formerly of Fairbanks, AK, passed away Friday, July 4, 2008 at his residence. He was a native of Abbeville County, SC, and the son of Bonnie Houston Wilson and the late Ernest Wilson. He was a Vietnam Era Veteran of the U.S. Army and was a retired Construction foreman. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Bolden. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 35 years, Wanda Hyde Wilson of the home; his daughter, Jerri Lynn Snider of Fairbanks, AK; his sons, Joey Bolden of Lenoir, NC, and James Bolden of Robbinsville, NC; and his brother, Wade Wilson of Mount Holly, NC. He has 5grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Monday July 7, 2008 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Reverend Daniel Stewart will officiate. Committal services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Carver Cemetery with a Flag Presentation by Eller Rogers Post 192 and Carringer Webster VFW Post 8635. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at the Chapel, prior to the services. Townson-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
