Charles Tucker, 78, of Monroe, died Wednesday morning, March 3, 1999, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Middletown on Jan. 18, 1921. An Army veteran of World War II, he was retired from Armco Steel Co. Mr. Tucker was a member and past master of the Jefferson Masonic Lodge. He is survived by a daughter, Vanessa Wynn of Nashville, Tenn.; two sons, Tilden C. "Tim," and his wife, Debbie, of Monroe, Ohio, and Charles Thomas "Tom," and his wife, Annetta, of Atlanta, Ga.; five grandsons, Dale E. of Douglasville, Ga., Charles T. Jr. of Kodak, Tenn., Michael S. of Marietta, Ga., Timothy W. of Canton, Ga., and Jonathan Q. of Waleska, Ga.; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Faye Bach Tucker; his sisters, Evelyn and Elmira; and a brother, Melvin.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery. American Legion Post 218 Color Guard will provide graveside military honors. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m.
