Ed was the son of John Lewis Evans and Katherine McCarroll Evans, of Norfolk, NE, and Storm Lake, IA.

On October 14, 1944, at the Norfolk First Methodist Church, Dr. Harry E. Hess united Miss Bonita Phyllis Farner, formerly of Norfolk and of Carroll, IA, to Lt. Edwin Denio Evans, U.S. Army Artillery, during WWII, formerly of Norfolk.

During their 56 years together they resided in Joplin, Norfolk, Ponce, Puerto Rico, Monett, MO, and Dallas, TX. He was proud of his Welsh heritage, his hobbies, work and was a loving, loyal and devoted supporter of his wife, their 2 sons; 6 grandchildren, great granddaughter, their families and friends.

He was a Methodist and was preceded in death by his parents, an infant twin grandson, and his younger brother, John Hedrick "Jack" Evans, of Fort Dodge, IA, and Ft.Myers, FL.
