PIHERA, Charles 'Bud'
Born January 6, 1919 in Saskatchewan, Canada passed away after a brief age related illness July 21, 2013.
A naturalized citizen, Bud grew up in the Yuba City area. He married his beloved wife Dolores Cremers and they raised their family in Sacramento. They were lifelong parishioners of St. Rose Church. After some years working in the auto parts industry, the couple opened an auto parts store, P&S Auto Supply where they worked together in the business for over fifty years (1948-2000). Bud will be remembered for his work ethic, integrity, fun loving personality, and laughing blue eyes. He was a master gardener, restored vintage cars and enjoyed decades of travel, golf, and bowling. His was a life well lived.
Bud was preceded in death by his son Charles Pihera, Jr., sister June Hammond, brother Louis Pihera and sons-in-law Dennis Adkins and John Martinez. Survived by his loving wife of 72 happy years, Dolores Pihera, sister Bette Jones, daughters Carol Pihera and Judy Martinez, daughter-in-law Lynn Pihera, grandchildren Kim (Jeff) and Kelly (Dave) Pihera, Jimmy and Charlie (Maria) Lawson, Michelle (Tony) Bell, Nikki (Johnnie) Waldron, Moochie Adkins and Jenny Adkins Mikles (Jon), 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A celebration of life will include: Rosary- Andrews and Grelich 6:00 PM Monday July 29th Mass- St. Rose Church 10:00 AM Tuesday July 30th Burial- St. Mary's Cemetery Luncheon to follow at St. Rose Church.
