Dale Eugene Shields, 48, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Middletown on June 4, 1949, to the late Charles Martin and Tyvolia Shields. Dale served in the U.S. Air Force where he served his country in Vietnam. He is survived by two sons, Dale E. (Tina) Shields of Alamogordo, N.M., and Issa (Jennifer) Shields of Middletown; one daughter, Aisha M. (Quincy) Brooks of Middletown; three brothers, Gerald Shields of San Francisco, Calif., and Tracy and Eddie Martin, both of Middletown; four sisters, Beverly Maxell of Dayton, and Anita, Rita and Lisa Martin, all of Middletown; 13 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hall-Jordan Memorial Chapel, 918 S. Main St. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at the chapel with the Rev. Michael Bailey officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
