Connie L. Morrison, 63, passed away Thursday, July 18th, in Salina. She was born September 11, 1949 in Junction City, the daughter of Leo A. and Virginia L. (Kirkpatrick) Ponton. Growing up in Manchester, she attended local schools, graduated from Longford High School and earned a BS degree in Home Economics from Kansas State University. On December 18th, 1971, she was married to Harry H. Morrison Jr. in Manhattan. Most of their married life was spent in Manchester before moving to Concordia in 2005. She was preceded in death by her Mother. She was a member of the Concordia United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the American Legion Riders Post #76 in Concordia. The family has chosen cremation. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 22nd, at the Danner Funeral Home with Pastor Tessa Zehring officiating. Inurnment will follow in the White Cloud Cemetery at a later date. The family suggest memorial contributions in her memory be made to the Connie L. Morrison memorial fund, to be designated later. They may be left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
