Judy A. Floyd
Died at home on July 23rd, 2013. She was 78. She was born Feb. 5th, 1935 in Cleburne, Texas. She received a music scholarship to Austin College in Sherman Texas, where she was a member of a nationally recognized a cappella choir, and later received a scholarship to Texas Christian University. While raising two children, she was involved in many charitable organizations including O.P.A.R.C., Beta Sigma Phi, and Junior League, serving as a member and officer. She also owned and managed a local business.
Judy was generous and kind hearted to everyone she met. She worshipped her family, who will miss her dearly Mrs. Floyd is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert Floyd, son Larry Floyd and his girlfriend Kofie Hayes, daughter and son-in-law Robyn and Chris Swirkal, grand children Emily Floyd, Ryan and Dylan Swirkal, her brother and sister-in-law Bill and Carolyn McGowen, her nephew Chuck McGowen, and many other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Todd Memorial Chapel in Claremont on Sat. August 3rd, from 12 – 2 pm followed by grave side service at Oak Park Cemetery in Claremont.
