Kendra "Kenny" Elizabeth Lewis of Anchorage, Alaska passed away in Grass Valley on April 26, 2013. She was 21.

A celebration of her life will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, August 11 at the Alta Sierra Country Club.

Kendra was born in Anchorage, Alaska on February 21, 1992 and was a cook at Olympic Cafe in Kapaa, Kauai.

Kendra relocated to Calif. in 1998 with her mother Maria; Sister, Kyna and brother Cy. She attended Alta Sierra Elementary and spent a year at the Nevada City School of Arts. Kendra loved Grass Valley, girl scouts, the Yuba River and art. She lived in Grass Valley until 2004 when her and her family moved back to Alaska.

Kendra was loved by many. She had a light that always shined, a drive that never gave up and a heart that was strong, caring, compassionate and loving. She was a great person and had ambitions and goals in life. Even though she is gone, her light will shine. She was a daughter, sister, niece, cousin, granddaughter and friend. She blessed everyone with 21 years of her beautiful life and the memories she shared will always be cherished.


She survived by her mother and step-father, Maria and Jeremy Ketchum; father, Michael Lewis; sister, Kyna Lewis; brother, Cy Lewis; half brother, Sean Lewis; step-sister, Tristyn Ketchum; grandparents, Ken Lewis, Sigrid Vanek, Tania Welch, Harry Wagner, Judy Ketchum and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Kendra was preceded in death by her grandma, Judy Hillard.

Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
