Funeral services for Mr. Ewen E. Burch, 81, of Second Street, Jackson, SC who died Saturday, May 5, 2006 will be conducted from the First Baptist Church of Jackson.
Interment in Southlawn Cemetery with Military Honors.
Mr. Burch was a native of Coffee County, Georgia having made Jackson his home for the past 55 years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, a member of various church committees and the Baracca II Sunday School Class. Mr. Burch was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II and a member of the Douglas Georgia Masonic Lodge #386 and the R.A.M. Chapter 52.
He retired from E.I. DuPont Company at the Savannah River Plant with 34 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Nina Fortune Burch; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael E. and Teresa Burch, Augusta, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and John Posey, Clever, MO; a brother, Virgil Burch, Fairview, NC; two sisters, Retha Brown, Lake City, SC and Rheba Mathis, St. Simons Island, GA; three grandchildren, Jamie Cypret, John Posey, Jr., and Denise Burch; several nieces and nephews.
