LEXINGTON NEW Gary New, Jr. June 25, 1941 - July 23, 2013 Mr. Gary New, Jr., age 72, of Lexington, NC, passed away, Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was a loving husband,father and brother. Gary was born June 25, 1941, in Forsyth County, a son to the late Gary New and Syble Clark New. He was formerly employed by Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company, Miller Brewing Company and Carolina Water Service. Gary served in the US Navy. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank New and sisters, Elaine New Davis and Patricia New Winfrey. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Mary New; son, John New and wife, Angela; brother, Curtis New and wife, Denean; sister, Shirley New Brooks and husband, David. A celebration of life service will be held, Monday, July 29th at 1:00 p.m., at Forsyth Memorial Park with Pastor C. L. May officiating.
