Troy "Junior" Wicker was a U.S. Army veteran and the victim of a murder-for-hire scheme so his cheating wife could collect his life insurance benefits. The murderer was executed on 25 May 2017, and the wife was released in 1992 after serving 10 years of a life sentence.

Junior left behind three sons.
