Parents - Charles and Sybil (Kemp) Stafford
HINSDALE, N.H. - Gary Charles Stafford, 61 of Hinsdale, N.H. passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in his sleep July 24, 2013.
Gary was originally from Northfield, MA. and was the son of Charles and Sybil (Kemp) Stafford. Gary was an avid machinist who spent a lifetime working on all types of equipment. He was employed for more than 30 years as a railway Project Engineer for Amtrak.
He devoted all of his spare time to his passion of repairing machinery with his two sons. He was well known at the age of 16 in the era of 1960's muscle cars for his 428 Cobra Jet Mustang that pulled 13.6 stock in the quarter mile. He was fortunate later in life, after many years of searching to fulfill his lifelong dream of re-owning the streets with the same make and model Mustang. Gary was a man that could fix anything mechanical, he was driven like no other person to accomplish a task and do it well. In business dealings he was a man of his word and well respected throughout the community for his mechanical skills and honesty. He will be sadly missed by his family and many people throughout the local New England region.
He leaves behind three children: daughter Christine McCarthy and her husband John and stepson Jarod, of Colchester, CT., two sons: Robin Nilson and his wife Kitsie of Guilford, VT. and Seth Stafford and his wife Stephanie of Oswego, NY. Gary also leaves behind his two precious grandchildren on whom he was always doting, Thalia and Trent Charles Stafford. He is also survived by two sisters: Eunice Stanley of Greenfield, MA. and Judith Marston, of Vernon, VT. and his companion of many years Sandra Van and his former wife Ellen Fullam of Hinsdale,
