Ruby E. Hoffman

Hoffman, Ruby E., 94, of Marietta, Route 2, died at the home of her niece at 5 a.m., March 26, 1993. She was born May 15, 1898 in Monroe County.

She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Lakeworth, FL. She had been owner and manager of apartments until her retirement in 1976. She was a member of the Woodsfield Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 268, American Legion Auxillary in Woodsfield, and was a member of the Crippled Children's Society in Woodsfield.

She is survived by one niece, Nyla Griffith of Marietta; two nephews, Archie Hoffman of Indianapolis and Koy Whitacre of Graysville; two cousins, Nancy and Elizabeth Amos of Dayton; and 10 great-nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death in September 1954 by her husband, Harry Hoffman. They married May 15, 1916; one brother, Arnett.

Friends were received at Hadley Funeral Home, Marietta, March 27. Services were held at 1:30 p.m., March 28 with the Rev. James Dickey officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at Graysville.
