Kenneth K. Giese, 66, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer on Monday, December 27, 2010. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 3, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Graveside service will immediately in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South. Kenny was born in Norwich, Kansas and graduated from Norwich High School in 1962. He started KG Acoustics and owned it until he retired in 1994. Kenny was also the sole owner of D.B. Cooper's at 39th and State Line for 33 years. It was his pride and joy, along with his dogs Brandi and Clifford, and his golf game. Kenny also served in the Army National Guard until December 1968. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Ruth (Martin) Giese of Norwich, Kansas and his brother Lee Giese of Topeka, Kansas. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Kim Giese, of the home; his daughter Jill Haskett and grandson Jake of Oklahoma; brother Keith of Elgin/Sedan, Kansas; three sisters, Barbara Dietsch and husband Garry of Wichita, Peggy Gulich of Oklahoma, Sheila Verser and Tom of Seattle, Washington; numerous nieces, nephews and many, many friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society. A special thanks goes to all of Kenny's doctors, nurses and caregivers, and also everyone at Mt.
