Nellie died in the College hospital in Des Moines. She had been residing in Des Moines the past two years. When she was a small girl, she moved with her parents to Eagle Grove where she was reared & educated. She was united in marriage to Charles William Claude and the couple resided in Woolstock where they owned and operated a grocery for several years before moving to a farm near Woolstock. To this union one daughter and one son were born; Blayne Claude of Elmhurst, Ill., and Mrs. Arlynn Thomson of Des Moines. Her husband preceded her in death in 1919.

She was united in marriage March 28, 1920, to Jehiel DeLoss Reed, and the couple resided in Woolstock until 1942, moving then to Webster City. To this union, one son, Neil Reed on Little Rock Ark., was born. Her husband preceded her in death May 27, 1957. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
She is survived by her three children; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, George Alexander of Jackson, Minn. and Mrs. Gladys Townsend of Pennsylvania, and her step-mother, Mrs. Annie Alexander, of Pennsylvania.
