MENINGITIS FATAL TO YOUNG WOMAN

Miss Hetty B. Hammon Dies at Home of Parents in Roy.

Hetty Bodell Hammon, 22-year-old daughter of Daniel J. and Annie Hansen Hammon of Roy, died last night at 9:40 o'clock, following a four days illness of spinal meningitis. She was born at Preston, Idaho, August 29, 1897. She was well know in Ogden and the county.
Surviving her are her parents, and the following brothers and sisters: Daniel J., Claudine, Lelah, Rosie May, and Heber G. Hammon. The body was removed to the Lindquist Mortuary to be prepared for burial.

HAMMON - Bishop Martin P. Brown conducted funeral services for Hetty B. Hammon in the Roy meeting house yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The ward choir sang "We Shall Meet Beyond the River" and "Have I Done Any Good in the World Today?" Viola and Gladys Haydon sang "Sometime, Somewhere." The Sunday School class of which Miss Hammon was teacher, sang "A Green Hill Far Away." Vern Hobson sang "Sometime We'll Understand." The speakers were Sunday School Superintendent John Haydon, John C. Child, Mrs. Jeanette Purdy of the Y.L.M.I.A., Chauncey J. Garner, M.H. Thompson and Bishop Brown. The burial took place in the Roy Cemetery, the grave being dedicated by C.J.A. Lindquist.
