William Donald Hancock FORT MILL - Mr. William Donald Hancock, 75, of 1536 Hensley Road, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at his home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Fort Mill Church of God, with Dr. David Kemp officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at the church. A native of Lancaster, S.C., Donald was a son of the late William Franklin Hancock and Sarah "Sadie" Elizabeth Hancock. Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked in construction and was a maintenance engineer for Holiday Inn. He had a servant's heart. He served as a hospital chaplin, a head usher and he served on mission trips. Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Mary Ann Hancock; four children, John Hancock (Marsha) of Winston-Salem, N.C., Theresa Wray of Lake Wylie, S.C., Judy Smith of Fort Mill, S.C., and Timmy Smith of Clover, S.C.; an older brother, David Hancock (Elaine) of York, S.C. and a younger sister, Frances Gaskin (Tommy) of Cheraw, S.C.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Pug.
