Died - 03 Mar 1917, Marquam (district), Clackamas Co., Oregon. She had celebrated her 80th birthday. The family farm was located near the towns of Marquam and Mollala. Caroline and her husband, George W were some of the first to farm in this area. They were part of Jackson pioneering family that helped settle Mollala, Oregon and vicinity. Many family members are buried in Carus Pioneer Cemetery located on a part of what was the Jackson Donation Land Claim in 1850. At the time of her death two of her sons(George and Edward)were living with her and help run the farm.
She had brought into this world fourteen children, nine of them still living.
