He was born in Bratt, Florida on Sept. 24, 1929.
He was awarded the Purple Heart while serving in the Korean War. He retired from the Lerio Corp. in April 1992 after 32 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife, Louise Luker; two sons, David Luker and Jimmy Luker; three step children, Donna (Earl) Carruthers, John (Phyllis) Mayo, and Tina
(Eugene) Thompson; two sisters, Janice Shelton and Jewel Jones; two brothers, Alex (Cozette) Luker, Jr. and Edwin (Beverly) Luker; one grandchild, 11 step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 from 11:00 until 1:00 pm from Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel services will follow at 1:00.
Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
