Mary Griswold was the daughter of Lt. Francis Griswold and his wife Mary, who settled in Preston, New London, Connecticut. They had a daughter named Mary who was born there on August 26, 1656. There might be a record of her marriage to Jonathan Tracy on July 11, 1672. If she is our Jonathan’s wife, she was a month shy of sixteen at the time of the wedding. Mary and Jonathan had at least nine children born in Preston. Mary died in Preston on April 24, 1711. Her place of burial is unknown, but surely she was buried in Preston.
