McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Joe Brown Garrison, age 80, was born October 10, 1932 and died July 25, 2013 at Raintree Manor.

A retired employee of Carrier Corporation and a member of Central Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Floyd and Etta Rogers Garrison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Charles Garrison; and brother-in-law, Arsey Womack.

He was married July 5, 1952 to Frances Cantrell Garrison of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children and spouses, Mike and Nancy Garrison of Viola, TN, Randy and Lisa Garrison of McMinnville and Debbie and Mark Haley of McMinnville; grandchildren and spouses, Jesse Garrison of Armenia, Ross and Lacy Garrison of Cookeville, TN, Reed Tucker Garrison of McMinnville, Kallie and Tyler Shelton of Fayetteville, TN, Kyle Haley of McMinnville, Tanera and Tom Steagall of Rockvale, TN and Jack Steagall of Rockvale, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Marietta and James Stotts of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Betty Womack of McMinnville; and several nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 in High's Chapel with Coy Hathcock and Ben Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at High's.

Memorials may be made to Central Church of Christ Building Fund or Westwood Church of Christ Building Fund.
