Buffalo Township - Arlene Danella Ankrom, 61, of Buffalo Township, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Life Care Hospital in Monroeville.
Born Feb. 9, 1952, Danella was a daughter of the late Audrey Arlene (Ross) and Daniel Ankrom. She had attended Sarver Wesleyan Methodist Church with her family.
A 1970 graduate of Freeport High School, she also graduated from New Kensington Commercial School. Danella had worked in the bakery at Risch's Supermarket and Coomer's Bakery; she had also worked for the Office of Personal Management in Boyers.
In addition to working and playing on her computer, she also enjoyed crossword and jig saw puzzles and taking rides in the country.
Danella volunteered for many years with the Butler County Area on Aging Agency and was the care giver for her parents in their later years.
She is survived by her two sisters, Marjorie (James) Lambert, of Spencer, Okla., and Louave (Hugh) Foster, of Collins, N.Y.; and two brothers, Tim Ankrom and Donald (Cheryl) Ankrom, both of Butler. Danella is also survived by her good friends, Bonnie Kelley, of Buffalo Township, and Phyllis (Doug) Coury, of Clinton Township; and by her numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Noreen Real.
Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, in REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., in Freeport, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013. The Rev. Eugene E. Morris will be officiating.
Burial will be held in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington.
