He was a native of Chester, S.C., son of the late James K. and Margie R. Bryant McManus.

INTERMENT: Forest Lawn West Cemetery.

Bob ran Bingo?s in Charlotte for eighteen years and operated Mac?s Pawn Shop for eight years. He retired after thirty-six years at the Charlotte Observer, and was an avid NASCAR fan and fisherman. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge Westgate 738. He was a loving husband and father.

McManus of Charlotte, Cindy Cousar of Mount Holly, Dean McManus and wife Vicki of Mountain Island Lake; siblings Von Morgan of Locust, Lillian Hildreth of Charlotte, Jean McVickers of Charlotte, and Peggy Hamilton of Belmont; grandchildren Farrah McManus Hodge of Charlotte, Jason Cousar of Charlotte, and Chase McManus of Mountain Island Lake.
