Patricia Ann Bourgeois

A resident of Gonzales and native of Baton Rouge, she died on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011. She retired as a bank teller in the Gonzales area. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Tuesday, Oct. 11, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation at St. Mark Catholic Church on Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., conducted by Deacon Sammartino. Burial in Hope Haven Gardens of Memory, Gonzales. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jerry Bourgeois; a daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Keith Meng; two sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Tracy Bourgeois, and Todd and Shantel Bourgeois; two sisters, Cheryl Aliers and Marie "Teel" Lee; two brothers, Robert "Bobby" Braud Jr. and Randy Braud; six grandchildren, Bryant Bourgeois, Jared Bourgeois, Taylor Meng, Tristyn Meng, Tracy Henry and Joneta Bourgeois; and two great-grandchildren, Haiden Hebert and Jace Sevin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mildred Braud Sr.; and a sister; Mona Gail Braud. Pallbearers will be Bryant Bourgeois, Tracy Henry, Mike Bourgeois, Randy Braud, Robert Braud Jr. and Arnold Lee. Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Aliers, Jared Bourgeois and Harold Bourgeois. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph Hospice for the wonderful care that was given and a special thank you to Dawn Low, Don Fisher and Silvia Spears for the personal care.
