Mr. Michael Jon Quick, age 57, of High Springs, Alachua, Fl. died Tuesday night, July 26, 2005, in the Gainesville Health Care Center, after a long illness.He was the son of Francis A. "Tony" and Maxine Penny Quick who was born in Ft. Scott, Kansas.He came to Florida in 1975 and lived most of his life in Alachua County. He owned and operated "Michael Jon Sculptor of Gold" in High Springs, Fl. He was an Army Veteran that served in the Viet Nam War. Michael was a member of the First Baptist Church in High Springs. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Regina Phillips Quick of Ft. White, Fl.; one daughter, Candy Elaine Zavala, stationed in Guam.; one son, Michael Anthony Quick, of Ft. White, Fl. His parents still reside in Liberty, Illinois. This obituary appeared in the July 28, 2005 edition of the Lake City Reporter Newspaper.
