He served in World War II with the 3rd Division, 15th Infantry, with 5 invasions (Africa, Italy, France, Germany and Austria). He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. When he returned home he married Pearl May Allen. They were together for 66 yrs. They had 3 daughters, Cosette, Georgiana, and Francine, and 1 son Frank, Jr.
Frank was a carpenter and welder affiliated with the NY City District Local of Carpenter's Union. After retirement he worked as a ranger at the NYS Park Campsite at Caroga Lake where he made many friends. He was an avid New York Yankee Baseball fan.
