Steven's parents were Wayne and Rose Marie (Ulmer) Ritter. His grandparents were Joseph John and Frances Estella(Blaker) Ritter, great grandparents were Albert Almon Mahlon "Toots" and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Baccus) Blaker, gg grandparents were John Baptist and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Kraft) Baccus; ggg grandparents were George and Anna Martha (Schmeer) Kraft, gggg grandparents Johann Heinrich and Anna Martha (Stückrodt) Schmeer -- more generations provided upon request.

August 15, 1959 ~ July 14, 2013

Steve Ritter passed away on July 14, 2013 in Vancouver, Washington, of a heart attack. He was born on August 15, 1959 in Vancouver, Washington to Wayne E. and Rose Marie (Ulmer) Ritter. Steve attended schools in Vancouver and Battle Ground, both in Washington.

After his military service in the Navy, Steve worked the construction trade as a journeyman roofer and became a roofing contractor.

Steve was gifted with an artistic and creative mind. He applied his special talent while designing and building custom homes. He was also a nationwide commercial truck driver.

Steve's interests were genealogy, hunting and fishing with his dad in his younger years, riding motorcycles and building unique motorcycles with his friend, Harlan Bishop.

Steve is survived by his loving soul mate, Cindy Brown; his son, Brandon Corn of Marysville, Washington; daughter, Amanda (Dustin) Plunkett-Crawford of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; grandchildren, Jade and Audry Plunkett; father, Wayne; brother, David (Victoria); sister, Elizabeth of Portland, Oregon; cousins, Mark, Mitchell and Michael Ritter; and lifelong friends, Kip and Julie Templeton.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Marie Franks; sister, Angela Franks; step-mother, Pat Ritter; and uncle, Joe Ritter.

A Celebration of Life was held at Chronis Restaurant, 819 Main St., Vancouver, WA on Saturday, August 10, 2103. Relatives and friends were invited to attend a graveside service at Lewisville Cemetery in Battle Ground, Washington.
