Mrs. Pritchard Dies

Mrs. Hazel Woodmansee Pritchard formerly of Dunlap, died this morning at a local rest home.

Mrs. Pritchard was 79 years old. She was born September 11, 1888 at Americus.

She was married in 1908 (sic) to Dr. J. R. (sic) Woodmansee, who died in 1937. In 1954, she married J. B. Pritchard, who preceded her in death in 1966.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Margaret West of Kansas City, Mo. and five grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Dunlap Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ted Inman in charge. Burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery at Emporia.Note: the initials of second husband are miss printed in the obituary.

Pritchard Rites Wednesday

Funeral services will be held Wednesday for Mrs. J. L. Pritchard, the former Mrs. J. A. Woodmansee of Emporia, who died Monday in Council Grove. Mrs. Pritchard, who was born Sept. 11th, 1888, in Americus, was the former Hazel Butler, daughter of the late John and Mary Elizabeth Butler. She was married in 1908 to Doctor Woodmansee, who practiced medicine in Emporia until his death in 1937. Mrs. Woodmansee moved in 1937 to the Dunlap community and she was married to Mr. Pritchard in 1954, in Dunlap. After his death, in 1966, she had lived with a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth C. (Margaret Mary) West, Kansas City. for the past six weeks she has been a patient in a Council Grove nursing home. Mrs. Pritchard is survived by her daughter; one brother, J. A. Butler, Wichita; one sister, Mrs. C.B. Weaver, Council Grove, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. J.D. Adam, 1426 Walnut St. The funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Methodist Church in Dunlap, and burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia. the Kendall Funeral Home in Council Grove is in charge of arrangements.
